Terms and Conditions
The Ceramic Garden Ltd’s terms and conditions are listed below. Please read thoroughly before booking any classes to familiarise yourself with them.
1. Class fees should be paid in full in advance through the website via our secure checkout page using Stripe’s Payments Europe Ltd. This processing platform is PCI compliant which helps secure the handling of card information by The Ceramic Garden Ltd and its customers. For more information please see Stripe’s guidelines on PCI here.
2. Gift cards are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. If the cost of a course exceeds the value of the gift card, the recipient is required to pay the remaining balance. Likewise, if the course is less than the value of the gift card, the credit will remain valid for the outstanding amount whilst the gift card is still active.
3. Cancellations - All classes are non-refundable.
Cancellations with more than 4 weeks notice - please email hello@theceramicgarden.co.uk and we will exchange the date.
Cancellations with less than 4 weeks notice - please email and we will try and re-book the class and exchange the date.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours notice - we cannot refund or exchange the date for last minute cancellations
If The Ceramic Garden Ltd cancels a course, we will offer you the choice of a full refund, to reschedule or a gift card.
4. Missing classes within a course series is non refundable. Sadly we will not be able to reschedule this class for you.
5. Materials: All equipment clay, glazes and firing costs are included in the price of taster classes, workshops and private events. Courses and Freewheelin' sessions will incur a small charge for the cost of firing. You can choose to fire as much or as little as you wish, as this is calculated by kg of clay.
6. Collecting work: We will publish on the website when work is ready for collection (please see Collecting Work page). Kilns can be temperamental, so please be patient. We aim to turnaround within 2 - 4 weeks after the date of your class. On occasions, there can be accidents in the kiln: explosions and glaze running off the pot. We do our best to minimise this happening, but this is the nature of ceramics and sometimes this does happen.
7. Failure to collect work: Space is very limited and work not collected within a month after the collection date has been published on the website, will be donated to charity or disposed of. We try to avoid this at all costs as it feels such a waste - given the environmental impact - to dispose of it.
8. Data Privacy: We respect your privacy and all personal information will be compliant with EU GDPR regulations. All personal information is stored on a secure, internal database system. We keep personal identifiers, contacts and characteristics until requested or obligated to remove them. After which, The Ceramic Garden Ltd will dispose your information by professionally deleting the files. If you have any concerns about how your data is being used, please contact us via email.
9. Cleaning: In all our classes we stress the dangers and health risks of clay dust. Therefore, it is important that participants in classes clean their workspaces, to keep the studio a safe working environment. For more information on the health risks associated with clay and how we mitigate them, please read our health and safety policy.
10. Photography disclaimer - we regularly update our social media with photographs and videos of what has been going on in the studio. Therefore we may be taking pictures of students and their work during a session. We will always ask permission to do so and please let us know if you do not feel comfortable with this.
