A 2-hour taster class is designed to immerse you into the world of clay by having a whirl on the potter’s wheel or a very therapeutic hand building experience. In a taster class, you will be shown how to centre clay and make a cylinder or a bowl. Be warned: the wheel can get messy! You are welcome to make as much as you wish, and after a play, you will choose a single pot to be kept and glazed by us. There are 6 spots in each class. Taster classes are suitable for 16 years and over.

You can book taster classes below, please read our T&C’s and Health & safety before booking. You can book multiple spots in one go by changing the quantity drop down below.

  • Please note, that the Kiln Gods are not always kind to taster pots. We do our best, but on occasion a pot might break during firing. Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about this. In the worst cases, it may be hard returning it to you if the base blows out at the bottom and we cannot read any names! But, this is extremely rare.

  • If you do not think you will be able to return to pick up your pot please let us know so we can avoid firing it. Pots can only be held for 8 weeks and then sadly we have to dispose of them.

  • If you have any specific accessibility needs or require assistance, please let us know in advance so we can ensure the necessary adjustments are made to your workspace and emergency procedures.

  • Taster class payments are NON-REFUNDABLE.

    If you wish to cancel or reschedule with more than 6 weeks before the taster class, we can try to reschedule you onto another taster session. If you cancel with less than 6 weeks of the taster class, the entire fee is forfeited unless we can re-book the taster session.

    If you need to cancel or change a booking, please contact us directly. There is an admin fee of £10 per change.
